Welcome, Summer!
Organized by the Nowy Targ City Hall, Welcome, Summer! is one of the largest outdoor music events in Podhale. We have been organizing the event since 2016. Over the years, Welcome, Summer! has grown to become a local festival that attracts music lovers from all over Podhale and other parts of Poland. The success of the event largely depends on our efforts and attention we put each year into preparing the concert lineup. Our motto is diversity of sounds and genres. We combine classics and modernity. So far, we have hosted, among others: Ørganek, Jeden Osiem L, Taraka, Republika, Chłopcy z Placu Broni, Róże Europy, Kobranocka, Sarsa, Afromental, Łąki Łan, Another Pink Floyd, Carrantuohill, UK Legends, Dikanda, Biało Czarni, Rezerwat. Besides stars, we also host lesser-known bands that often connect the specificity of their sound with their place of origin. This is a conscious decision, resulting in enriching the musical awareness of our guests and an artistic journey to different regions of our globe. However, Welcome, Summer! lives not only through music but also through many accompanying attractions. We make sure our guests try the specialties of highlander cuisine, get closer to our folklore, or learn about the history of our city. We also do not forget about the youngest participants of our event, for whom we provide many attractions.
